According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, 68% of non-fatal work related injuries in 2008 came from musculoskeletal disorders, sprains, and strains1. A number of these injuries could have been prevented by proper education and treatment. As an Ergonomic Specialist, it is my duty to help reduce that number by providing my services to the workplace.

 Dr. Neary is a Certified Ergonomic and Injury Prevention Consultant. He can provide an Ergonomic Assessment Report (EAR) for workplaces trying to lower their rate of injury. EARs evaluate, but are not limited to, the following areas:

  • Eye height to Video Display Terminal (VDT) level
  • Elbow and wrist placements
  • VDT brightness relation to natural/ambient light
  • Furniture evaluation such as:
    • Chair heights and angles including lumbar suppport
    • Desk/employee distance
  • Noise Levels
  • Accessibility
  • Organization/layout of work areas
  • Job-specific Tasks
  • Physical capabilities
 
 Dr. Neary is also a Independent Medical Examiner, Qualified Medical Examiner, and Industrial Disability Examiner. He is also a DOT certified Drug Tester and Breath Alcohol Technician.

 Dr. Neary is also qualified to give workshops and seminars on injury prevention and recovery. These workshops may save your company time and money reducing employee injuries and claims.
